The Digital Smile Design Process
After your free consultation, should you wish to take things further, then a DSD appointment will be made for you. At this visit we will take moulds of your teeth digitally, digital X-rays and also some High Def video of various angles of your smile and profile. Typically this visit take around 30 minutes.
After you leave, this information is fed into the computer, and our smile designers will get to work designing your ideal perfect smile, that is in harmony with your face and emotional characteristics. The completed blueprint of your new smile is then brought to life by printing a model of it in 3D. From here we can make moulds that we can try in over your teeth to show you what the smile will look like live in your mouth at your next appointment a week or two later.
Having a realistic preview of the smile then allows us to explain exactly what is necessary to achieve it in your case and because it is live in 3D you can understand things so much more easier.
From here, we then finalise our treatment plan with you, and get to work using the latest equipment and finest materials to bring our smile designers vision into reality in your mouth. And the result? As close to a natural and great looking smile that mother nature would be proud of!
Is it painful getting DSD?
The truly incredible thing about the DSD process, is that we can get you to preview your new smile, live in your mouth without doing any treatment on you. At visit 2 or 3 with us, we will have a mock up of your smile ready which will have been been designed in a super accurate way via video, photos, models and measurements of your mouth done at visit 1 or 2, in a way that is more like a photo shoot rather than a dental appointment - and absolutely no pain whatsoever.
Can anyone get DSD?

Anyone from a young adult upwards, thinking of improving their smile, can get it custom designed by our smile designer digitally, so giving them a chance to see live in their mouth, what they would look like with an amazingly natural, good looking and healthy smile.
How long does DSD take?
The DSD smile design appointment involves us taking normal or digital moulds of your teeth. We also take digital X-rays and HD video of your smile from different angles. This appointment usually lasts about 40 minutes. After you leave, the information that has been collected is sent away to be processed by our smile designer and lab technician, where approximately 1 week later we will have your mock up ideal custom design ready to preview and this will allow you to test drive your new smile.
